SERIES 2

The first step to change something is through awareness and acceptance.

So… what does it mean to be aware?

It means to be conscious of an event, person, or object at a particular moment. For example, if I pinch you, the effect is impressed into your consciousness, forcing you to acknowledge its impact. Awareness is the first course and instant call to action.

YOU CAN ONLY CHANGE WHAT YOU KNOW.

Your emotions are usually your first vehicle to your consciousness, acting as the pinch and pointing to the overwhelming displeasure and contempt you feel for your write-ups, which is a good thing.

How?

Your emotions can do you a great service if you utilize the “tellings” well. However, know that awareness does not automatically translate to acceptance. You have two options at this stage:

AWARENESS AND DEFEAT (not to improve)

AWARENESS AND ACCEPTANCE (to improve)

Thus, to change things, you must first be aware AND accept: these two values must go hand in hand.

If you not careful, awareness can lead to defeat and rein enforcement illusionary failures.

What to do?

Think of your emotions as the pinch that forcefully brings your attention to the pain, an issue that must be addressed, a call for attention. Accept that you are a learner and that you will consciously have to accept growth with experience, trials, and other unpleasant things that would surely come.

Perseverance builds character, and character builds hope — hope here is a certainty that you will be better.

No one you envy now was “perfect” at the beginning, they passed through the tortures and challenges you face presently.

Know this: Acceptance does not mean believing that you cannot improve, it is believing there are stages and you can be better. It means accepting that you will read more, learn new words more, write content that would end up in the trash more, it simply means trying more over and over.

Dear newbie writer, be aware, accept and work to be better even if it means starting over and over again until you get comfortable with your content.

JUST WRITE — IT IS WRITING YOU KNOW WHERE, WHAT, AND HOW TO IMPROVE

But of course, there are smarter ways to be better and improve; through Good Comparison (check my previous post)
